The '7/7 conspiracy to cause explosions' trial starts
Spent the afternoon in an annexe with other people directly affected by the events of 7/7 waiting for the prosecution's opening speech. Unfortunately, the video-link technology connecting us to the Kingston court kept failing, so nothing happened and we're all going back tomorrow.
I did however have a very interesting coversation with a senior police officer who has been involved with the case right from the beginning. I will be able to say more about what he said when the CPS case is heard. I will make one comment only: it's bad news for the conspiracy theorists.
