Obama for President

Speech here. Oh, wow, I'm so pleased. 230 days left, and fingers crossed the most hopeful candidate of a generation makes it to the White House.
Hilary as running mate? We'll see. I'd rather have Al Gore, but it's looking like a good bet.

Fortunately I think you're wrong; Clinton trial-balloning aside, she would be the absolute worst VP he could pick and he knows this. Stick her on the Supreme Court I say, if for no other reason than to give Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly coronaries.

Clinton as VP would bring along too much entourage and baggage (not least of which is her husband). If she were my VP I'd also be damn sure the Secret Service never left my side.

My money's on Sibelious or Edwards, although I'd hope Howard Dean is in the mix as well as Bill Richardson and Brian Schweizer (a very clever man).

A more clever man than, I; Schweitzer, not Schweizer.

"[i]n times when our country is pushed to our limits, those are the times when it is most important to remember individual rights."

Speaks Arabic.

Last name is not Clinton.

Plus, he'd be the first Irish-German-Russian-American VP. Parties would be a *blast*.

I hope you're right that the Clintons dont get the VP. Bill looks beaten and rough and purple-faced these days, one fo the iteresting things has been to see his charisma and cred draining away and things turning so ugly and vicious. Why fight so hard to damage the party you claim to love?

The conspiracy theorists think it's all a plot, that Hilary is going to have him assassinated in June 08, and she knows she'll be fighting in November.

God, I hope not.

I'll support whoever Obama chooses for VP. The man knows what he's doing.

Those assassination rumors are disgusting, by the way... people keep bringing that up lately and I want to slap them and then somehow reach through the TV and give Obama a big hug. I hope his people hug him regularly.

I agree with gridlock. Also, I cannot stand that woman. ANYONE but her, I say.

Now if only we could persuade Caroline Kennedy to pull a Cheney (he was in charge of Bush's VP search committee, and because he's so modest he picked himself)..

I saw Bill reacting to the Rev Wright bullshit (which was on YouTube) and he kept talking about "that movie". He's a creature of a bygone age.
