I'm not sure, if you don't want to get hassled by the hornets nest of conspiraloonery then it might be better not to prod it .... or maybe they have left you alone now?
Titanic truthers - they've been around since about five minutes after it sank. Current favourites are German U-Boats, plus "the ship never sank and the whole thing was an insurance scam".
I couldn't resist it; I thought the film was sooooooooo funny. Especially the ice cubes in the bath. It isn't wise to poke the nest but sometimes I get so fed up that I have to. Because this stupid cynicism virus is quite dodgy, and it is still spreading. And shining light on it is kind of a moral thing. And humour dispels it wonderfully, I find.
I still think it's plausible, given the evidence you yourself have posted, that various covert operations may have been responsible for the recent feline débâcle. It takes a government agency to achieve that degree of inefficiency.
Dick Cheney dunnit! They have a secret time machine that they used to go back in time to sink the Titanic so they could clean up on the movie rights. Celine Dion is a dead giveaway. You can't sing like that in a bath full of ice cubes so how did she manage it in the freezing cold Atlantic?

'conspiracy loons'. is barbara honegger, the senior military affairs journalist at the naval postgraduate school (the navy's advanced science, technology and national security affairs university) who wrote the 'pentagon attack papers' another conspiracy loon? really, rachel, what are you scared of? a lot of what we said about the intelligence services and msk 2 years ago has turned out to be true and that was labelled conspiracy loon rubbish then. you and george montbiot are two peas in a pod - closed minds.
