Jailhouse Lawyer...

..has a top blog, and has inspired me to write more on crime, punishment and justice. Not now though, it's half past midnight, and I have just about stopped dancing. 'Night.

Hi Rachel, seeing you again tonight on 18DS reminded me to check your site out again. Thanks for the plug. I responded to the article on CIF about the young lawyer who was murdered, and some plonker broke the terms and turned on me but I have broad shoulders. What most people do not appreciate, is that victims come in all guises, and that it took me along time to come out of myself and empathise with others. My Aspergers Syndrome does not appear to let most people see that I am very emotional and do feel for people more than I am given credit for. All I want to do now is share my experience for the common good. What I like about you is that you can see past the hate, anger and bitterness which seems to cloud a lot of minds to common sense. Knee-jerkism and prejudice helps nobody. Good luck.

I know who Jailhouse is, and I have read all the same articles as everyone else, which are linked on his blog. He has done his time and that is the end of it as far as I am concerned. I am pleased that he is now devoting his considerable energies and anger towards useful things like working for prisoner's rights and is currently living a blameless and normal life: I think that is a positive result and I do not believe in continuing to bring up a man's past once he has paid his dues. He devotes himself to his work, he comments on this blog, I know more about him than many of the other commenters and I am quite happy for him to comment here along with everyone else.

My comment policy: I only block comments that contain hate-speech, such as racist or anti-semitic content, or which advocate violence, comments which are pointlessly personally abusive to me or other commenters, conspiracy-theory cut n'pastes, or obvious off-topic spam. Everyone is welcome to debate and disagree but if you can't play nice I will chuck you out, same as if this was a pub and I the landlady.
