Shoo

I've not blogged much because I got so indescribably fed up with the conspiracy theorists pestering me. But now comment moderator is on. And anyone posting conspiracy theories on here will be wasting their time, since they will not be published. Emails about 9/11 or 7/7 'conspiracies' will not be replied to. Letters to me or to my family will be binned and phone calls will not be returned. Bullies and liars will not be given the time of day. You've had enough of my time and enough of my energy, and if you really think you have information or evidence that is relevant to the suicide bombings of July 7th then can you flipping well take it to the police, your M.P or to a media representative of your choice. Please do not try and push your agenda via the personal diary of a survivor who is trying to get on with her life. I am absolutely pig-sick of it all. Shoo!

Thank you to all those of you who have stuck with me throughout this irritating time.
Normal service will now resume and comment moderator will be switched off once the pests have departed. Good, I feel better already. Onwards and upwards!

Rachel,

It's the only thing you can do.

A few years ago, I and seveal others tried debating on USNET with the bunch who were insisting that TWA800 was shot down.

The only facts they were interested in where those advancing their theories. It was entertaining to watch how, when confronted with a refutation, conspiracy was mutated to flow round the problem, as it were.

I think my head shrinking friend was right. Consipracy theorists are really terrified by the idea that there *isn't* someone pulling all the strings. If the Illuminati aren't causing all the bad things, then life is as random as the behaviour of individuals.

the conspiracies are important and interesting (well to be honest i know nothing about the 7/7 or madrid conspiracies).
it seems harsh the way you brush them off. but i don't know what people are telling you or how they are against you
yet i understand why now is not the time to delve into that.
i thought it was pointless having an investigation about 7/7. i agreed with Blair its a waste of money and we won't find anything new.
since i found out about the 911 conspiracies i realised i was wrong. i really don't think 7/7 was an inside job. but it does need to be investigated, for no other reason than because we deserve to know.

Hi Rachel!
I've been away for Easter - last I knew you were resting up at your mum's. I hope that worked and was lovely for you.
I have a lot of reading and catching up to do, but wanted to support this post and send (((hugs))) and prayers.
Seems to me your blog is all about faith and forgiveness and peace and openess and generally 'building on the good', not about getting sucked down in to theories on who is bad.
You're about healing, not finger pointing, right?
More hugs.

Ah, conspiracy theories are fun.

It's the people who believe them I can't bear.

Glad to see you're letting go of that particualr no-win situation, Rach.

Rachel, you should get yourself a shiny new WordPress blog - it loves the jobs you hate.

You can give it keywords and it can filter out the yahoos for you automatically. You know, stuff like "9/11", "7/11", "this is a cry for help, I'm so alone..." and "while taking a brief break from my incessant masturbation I read that 7/7 was conducted by..."

personally, when given the choice between a conspiracy and a cock-up theory, i choose the latter.

let's have an enquiry and see where that takes us.

Conspiracy theories are modern myths, an alternative to religious belief and a way of bringing a little bit of excitement and mystery into a person's life. Which is all fine as long they don't pester other people. Your high profile makes you an easy target for these freaks. Don't let them freak you. You have something special that they don't. Originality.

Frustrating that the bullies have to be slapped down so much, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I was coresponding on a website right around 9/11, and the whole thing just came crashing down when the nutters took over. Insufficient moderation, let go too long in the name of fairness for people who didn't really understand fairness. Or figured it applied to other folks, not them.

I look forward to whatever you have to say next.
